To book an appointment you will need an email consultation so I can accurately quote you and get a clear understanding of what you want your tattoo to look like and include.
The best way to do this is to use the Booking Enquiry Form, remembering to complete all required fields. Once I’ve got all the relevant information and you are happy with your quote I will send you a link to my diary where you can book a suitable appointment for you.
Sometimes I will suggest that you come in for an in-person consultation to discuss your ideas but if you feel you’d prefer to consult and book in person this can be arranged.
Still complete the Booking Enquiry Form as usual with all the relevant information and just say you’d like to arrange an in studio consultation.
If you visit the website and the form is not available it is because my diary is not currently open for bookings or enquiries.
You can keep checking back on website to see if it’s available or you can follow my social media for updates on when my diary will be open.
I will periodically close my diary due to me being fully booked or to catch up with current enquiries.
I run a private tattoo studio which is a much more comfortable space for clients and myself whilst I am working on their tattoo. I don’t offer walk in appointments either – all appointments need to be booked in advance via the enquiry form. This allows me time to concentrate on the work I’m currently doing and to fully prepare for upcoming appointments. If you’d like to come into the studio for a consultation and book an appointment this can be arranged using the enquiry form.
Try not to panic and let me know as soon as you possibly can!!!
That’s the best thing to do if you are running late or something urgent has happened and you can’t attend your appointment.
I completely understand that “life” happens – and usually when we least expect it – none of us are able plan for unforeseen circumstances!
As much as I do understand this, I do need to protect the cost of my time.
In a nutshell, deposits are taken to protect your appointment slot (so it’s not offered to anyone else and so I don’t book a personal appointment) and to protect my time as all missed appointments cost me time and therefore money (including touch up appointments).
If the appointment is missed it means that I am at a loss – not only for the actual appointment slot but for the preparations that have been made prior, and so the deposit partially covers for the time lost and any work that has already been made.
On SOME* occasions, depending on the circumstances, deposits MAY be honoured or partially honoured if I am able to fill the time with another appointment*.
This isn’t always possible and as much as I sympathise and understand that something may have happened that is out of your control, that is the exact reason the deposit exists and why it’s clearly stated in my terms and conditions, so you are aware that this is a possibility before you book in. Also, although not often, there are time wasters and it’s also to protect against them!
It would be impossible to base all scenarios in one overall paragraph/policy so all missed/late/short cancellation appointments are looked at on a ‘case by case’ basis.
If you need to cancel/rearrange or are running late send me a direct email ASAP at lamortcustomtattoo@gmail.com marked as “Urgent” and either “running late” or “need to cancel” etc etc and I’ll reply to you as soon as I can and we can discuss more from there.
*All missed/late attendance/short notice cancellations&reschedules are solely at the artists discretion.
A deposit is required to secure your appointment and tattoo design. Please refer to my Terms and Conditions for full details.
When you book your appointment through the Tidycal link, you’ll be securly redirected to provide your payment details to secure your appointment. Please note, there will be a small transaction fee included when using this method.
**ALL DEPOSITS ARE 100% NON REFUNDABLE**
This is always such a difficult question to answer – because there isn’t just one answer! All tattoos that I do are priced individually and so there isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ answer. Tattoo pricing can vary dramatically depending on various factors such as position, style, intricacies, skin types, design, medical issues, unforeseen circumstances (the list goes on and on). If you decide to contact me to enquire about a tattoo I will give you an estimate quote taking in to consideration all of the information. I have rough pricing guide but it’s unfair to state that in black and white and for people to assume that it is what it is and then get told differently when booking in. What I can say for definite is I will always price fairly, if I ever accidentally dramatically overcharge and it’s took nowhere near what I expected I will reduce the price to match accordingly. Similarly, it can go the other way and I may severely underestimate the time it can take, which is why quotes are stated as being a ‘guide’. I have fixed prices for certain time lengths that have a maximum time and a minimum time – but again depending on the actual design and whereabouts on the body it’s going the prices can fluctuate. I can always advise better with more details and I am always happy to look through your idea and quote, there is NEVER any pressure to book an appointment after receiving a quote, quotes are valid for 3 months and quotes are free of charge. Please note that my rates are based on fixed appointment blocks, not exact minutes on a stopwatch. For example, a ‘2-hour appointment’ is a flat rate that covers up to 2 hours of studio time (typically anything between 1.5 and 2 hours). Because that entire time slot is secured and reserved exclusively for you, the price for your booked session remains fixed even if the tattoo is completed slightly quicker than expected.
When you book your appointment through the Tidycal link, you’ll be securly redirected to provide your payment details to lock-in your appointment via Stripe. (Please note, there will be a small transaction fee included when using this method).
This is your deposit which protects the appointment slot and your design idea.
The deposit amount is deducted from the overall quote.
You will need to pay a deposit for every appointment that is booked.
If you would like to book another appointment at the end of a session this can be done via the below methods.
The remainder of the payment can be made at the end of the appointment. This can be done via Bank Transfer, Paypal, Cash, or my Gift
**ALL DEPOSITS ARE 100% NON REFUNDABLE**
DEPOSIT:
Yes. However, card payments can only be taken via the Tidycal link.
TATTOO:
Unfortunately I can’t accept card payments in the studio but I do accept Bank Transfer, Paypal, Cash, or my Gift Vouchers.
Tidycal is a 3rd-party platform that facilitiates appointment booking and securly takes payment.
I will personally draw your design from scratch using any reference you provided during the consultation to create you your very own unique design.
I can include specific elements if stated and I can try and keep some areas of particular fondness but please remember I will NEVER copy anyone’s else’s work.
You can bring someone with you if you feel like you need some support! I have a private studio which only consists of me! And so you will be my main and only focus for the day. The studio is private and not open for walk ins from ANYONE else. If, for any reason, someone else might be coming into the studio that day I will let you know beforehand and they will need to ring the bell to be granted access.
If you feel like you’d like someone to accompany you then it’s no problem, however, they should not be able to access the treatment area (but seating areas outside of it are available) and both they, and you, should not bring any food or drinks into the treatment area.
Your design will always be ready for your appointment. I am unable to guarantee that it will be ready prior to the appointment for you to view. If it is then I will endeavour to send it to you beforehand.
If there are any small/minor alterations needed this generally shouldn’t be a problem at the appointment.
Big changes may alter the appointment time/price etc which could result in the appointment being cancelled/rearranged and loss of deposit.
Therefore I urge you to be sure and clear about what you would like during the consultation period.
Tattoos do hurt but nowhere near as much as you may think!
They are well tolerated (otherwise people would never come back for more) and just get sore over the time they are being worked on.
The best advice is to just to relax and expect a little discomfort.
Please do not use any numbing creams before your appointment without discussing it with me first.
Being prepared for your appointment is really helpful and you can bring and do things to make yourself comfortable.
Please see my Appointment Prep guide for more information.
Ideally I would advise against using numbing cream.
If you are thinking of using it please contact me first and please read my Terms and Conditions.
Tattoos are easy to look after but there’s some definite things to avoid temporarily whilst it is healing.
I have a Tattoo Aftercare guide on here but I will also talk you through aftercare at your appointment.
Types of tattoos as well as locations can vary aftercare a lot.
Please avoid what your friends, family or the internet may recommend because aftercare advice varies so much.
Some advice (even if it worked for that person) could seriously impair the healing and therefore the overall appearance and longevity of your tattoo.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BUDGET FOR TATTOO AFTERCARE!
I don’t currently have any aftercare products for sale, but the aftercare I recommend is very affordable and easy to obtain.
I do not recommend using Bepanthen on your tattoo, while it was once widely advised, aftercare recommendations have changed significantly.
If you need to cancel or move your appointment please let me know as soon as you can!
If it is for a day session I need a minimum of 1 weeks notice for all other appointment lengths I require a minimum of 48 hours notice. Your deposit will lost be lost if cancelled under these time limits.
I appreciate that things do happen out of our control sometimes and so I will always do my best to accommodate if I can (for example if I can get someone else can fill the appointment) but I can’t guarantee this so please be prepared that the deposit may be lost.
Send me an email to cancel or rearrange your appointment.
You must bring either your photo driving license or passport to the appointment.
If you fail to bring your ID this will result in cancellation of the appointment and loss of your deposit.
There are some things you should do prior to the appointment and some things to bring with you to your appointment.
Please see my Appointment Prep guide for more information.
That’s perfectly normal!
Sometimes tattoos may need a touch up appointment to go over any areas that need blending or darkening.
Please wait 4-6 weeks after your tattoo appointment to get an area touched up, if correct aftercare has been followed there’s no charge for a touch up appointment and you can book one here.
Your scheduled session covers the entire tattoo process from start to finish. This includes your final design consultation, any minor adjustments, skin preparation, and stencil application, alongside the actual “needle time.” All of these steps are essential to getting you the best result!
Yes ideally, but not too early!
To help things run smoothly, please arrive NO earlier than 10 minutes before your appointment time as preparations to ensure the workspace is completely cleaned, disinfected, and prepped for your arrival, will be in progress and access might not be available.
Please allow up to 2 weeks for a reply to any form submission or email.
Athamé is a solo operation, meaning it’s just me managing all aspects. I handle all tattooing, designing, studio upkeep, and admin myself with no separate support team.
If you have sent a form or email, I promise I will always get back to you! I genuinely appreciate your patience during busy periods.
Please avoid DMs: Facebook and Instagram messages are not monitored, so please stick to email/forms to ensure your message isn’t missed.
Been waiting over 2 weeks? Please feel free to email to chase it up. You’ll get an immediate auto-reply letting you know it landed safely, alongside any current admin updates and I’ll reply as soon as possible – very occasionally a form or email can go missing or be overlooked!
Any major delays will be posted on my social media channels so be sure to double check before chasing. If it’s still within the 2 week period – please bear with me and I appreciate your patience.
